Wow, I never would have figured out that “még”, or “attól még” meant “just because.” I still don’t understand how that meaning comes from that phrase. Originally I translated it to “from that, still,” which doesn’t make much sense or mean “just because.” And in the opposite direction, to say “just because,” I would probably try something like “csak mert,” which might not make much sense to a Hungarian, either. 🙂
