Is a laundry shop a place where they supply machines and you do your own laundry? In the US, we call that a “laundromat.” (Not sure what it’s called in other English-speaking places.) You can also bring your laundry to a service where they do the laundry for you. You leave it for them and pick it up later. (I call that a laundromat, too, because that’s usually where you can find that service.)
